Filtro de câmara ultravioleta (UV) B+W 010 MASTER 55 mm Multi Resistant Coating

The B+W 010 MASTER Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter 55 mm with Multi Resistant Coating (MRC) reduces UV light entering the lens to produce clearer, sharper images and improved color fidelity in outdoor photography. Designed for a 55 mm thread, this filter also functions as a protective optical element, guarding the front lens surface from dust, moisture and light scratches while preserving contrast. The Multi Resistant Coating minimizes unwanted reflections, ghosting and flare for more consistent results under bright sky conditions.

Advantages

This UV filter reduces haze caused by ultraviolet light and helps maintain accurate colors without altering exposure settings. The Multi Resistant Coating provides improved transmission and lowers reflections on both surfaces, which supports higher image contrast. Constructed with precision-mounted optical glass and a slim but rigid metal ring, the filter offers reliable mechanical fit and long-term durability while keeping added bulk minimal. It is compatible with standard 55 mm threaded lenses and can remain fitted for everyday lens protection.

Suitable for

• Outdoor landscape and travel photography where UV haze is present
• General lens protection during everyday shooting
• Photography in bright daylight to reduce atmospheric haze and improve clarity

Key specifications

• Filter type: Ultraviolet (UV) filter
• Diameter: 55 mm thread
• Coating: Multi Resistant Coating (MRC) on both sides
• Material: optical glass with metal mounting ring
• Design: slim profile to reduce vignetting on wide-angle lenses

How to use

Screw the filter onto the front thread of a compatible 55 mm lens until it seats firmly but do not overtighten. It can remain attached during normal shooting and does not require exposure compensation for most scenes. For cleaning, remove loose dust with an air blower or soft brush, then gently clean the glass with a lint-free microfibre cloth and, if needed, a small amount of lens cleaning solution. Store the filter in its protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and contamination.

Recommendations

Use the B+W 010 MASTER UV filter outdoors to reduce UV-induced haze and maintain color fidelity; avoid using abrasive materials when cleaning and keep the filter mounted for ongoing lens protection, removing it only when using screw-on polarizers or specialized filters that require stacking in a specific order.
