Berbequim SKIL 6221AA ENERGY

The SKIL 6221AA ENERGY drill is a corded electric drill designed for a wide range of drilling and screwdriving tasks. It features a robust AC motor with variable speed control and a two-gear system offering 21 speed settings, delivering up to 1600 RPM and a maximum torque of 38 Nm. The drill uses a keyless chuck for quick bit changes, includes a continuous switch and soft grip for user comfort, and comes with a 6 m cable and a lightweight 1.2 kg housing for easy handling during extended work.

Advantages

The SKIL 6221AA ENERGY combines adjustable speed control and a high maximum torque to handle materials from wood to steel within its specified drilling diameters. The keyless chuck simplifies bit changes while the continuous switch and soft grip improve control and reduce hand fatigue. A long 6 m cable extends reach without needing an extension lead, and the compact 1.2 kg design supports comfortable use over longer periods.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in wood up to 20 mm diameter
• Drilling small holes in steel up to 8 mm diameter
• Screwdriving tasks with up to 6 mm screw diameter
• General home improvement and DIY projects
• Light professional tasks requiring a reliable corded drill

How to use

Fit the appropriate drill bit into the keyless chuck and tighten it securely before connecting the drill to a power outlet. Select the desired gear and speed setting according to the material and diameter to be drilled; use lower speeds for metal and higher speeds for wood. Hold the drill with a firm two-handed grip where possible, applying steady pressure and allowing the tool to reach full speed before contact. Use the continuous switch to maintain consistent operation for extended holes or screwdriving tasks. After use, disconnect from mains power and store the drill and bits in a dry place.

Recommendations

For best results, choose drill bits rated for the material you are working with, secure the workpiece, and start with a pilot hole when drilling larger diameters. Maintain a steady feed rate to avoid overheating; if drilling metal, periodically withdraw the bit to clear chips and apply cutting lubricant when needed. Regularly inspect the power cable and chuck for wear and keep vents clear of debris to ensure consistent performance.
