Corta-tubos Rothenberger 70070, área de trabalho 6–42 mm (1/4–1 5/8 in)

Rothenberger 70070 is a manual pipe cutter with a working range of 6–42 mm (1/4–1 5/8 in) designed for cutting metal and plastic pipes in plumbing, heating and general maintenance tasks. The tool features an adjustable clamping mechanism and a compact frame that allows access in confined spaces. It delivers precise, burr‑reduced cuts and straightforward operation suitable for both professional tradespeople and DIY users.

Advantages

The cutter combines a wide cutting range with a compact design to reach tight spots without compromising cutting accuracy. Its adjustable clamping ensures secure pipe holding across different diameters, while hardened cutting wheels provide consistent, burr‑reduced results. The ergonomic handle and smooth adjustment mechanism enable controlled feed and reliable repeatability for routine jobs.

Suitable for

• Cutting copper, brass and thin‑walled steel pipes
• Trimming PVC and PEX plastic pipes used in water and heating systems
• On‑site plumbing and heating installations and repairs
• Workshop and maintenance tasks where compact access is required

Key specifications

• Working range: 6–42 mm (1/4–1 5/8 in)
• Compatible materials: metal and plastic pipes (copper, brass, steel, PVC, PEX)
• Compact frame for access in confined spaces
• Adjustable clamping mechanism for different diameters
• Hardened cutting wheel for precise, burr‑reduced cuts
• Ergonomic handle and smooth feed adjustment

How to use

Place the pipe into the cutter’s frame and secure it with the adjustable clamping mechanism. Rotate the cutting wheel around the pipe while gradually tightening the feed mechanism after each full or half rotation until the pipe is cut through. For plastic pipes, ensure a steady, even pressure to avoid deformation; for metal pipes, allow the hardened wheel to score the surface progressively. After cutting, remove any remaining burrs with a deburring tool or fine file if required.

Recommendations

Inspect the cutting wheel before use and replace it if visibly worn or damaged. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection when cutting metal pipes. For best results, secure the pipe to prevent rotation and follow gradual feed adjustments to maintain a clean, square cut.
