Adaptador Homematic IP HAP1 HCP para integração de portões de garagem Hörmann (MPN 170046)

The Homematic IP HAP1 HCP Adapter enables integration of Homematic IP devices with Hörmann garage door systems using the Hörmann HCP interface. This adapter functions as a communication bridge, translating and forwarding control signals so that garage doors can be operated from Homematic IP central units and apps. The device is intended to simplify centralized control and automation of garage entrances within a smart home environment.

Advantages

The adapter provides a direct interface between Homematic IP and Hörmann HCP-compatible drive units, reducing the need for additional wiring or custom interfaces. It preserves the security and operational logic of both systems while allowing remote and automated control through existing Homematic IP infrastructure. Installation and commissioning are designed to be straightforward when following manufacturer connection points and system settings.

Suitable for

• Integrating Hörmann garage doors with Homematic IP controllers and apps
• Centralizing garage door control in a smart home automation setup
• Automating open/close actions based on schedules, scenes or other Homematic IP sensors
• Providing remote operation of garage doors via Homematic IP interfaces

Key specifications

• Function: protocol interface between Homematic IP and Hörmann HCP
• Compatibility: intended for Hörmann drives supporting the HCP interface and Homematic IP central units
• Connection type: electrical interface for control signal integration with Hörmann door controllers
• Form factor: compact adapter module for in-cabinet mounting near door control electronics
• Operational role: forwards open/close and status signals without altering door mechanical controls

How to use

Mount the adapter in proximity to the Hörmann door control unit and connect the control signal lines according to the wiring diagram supplied by the manufacturers. Register or pair the adapter within the Homematic IP central unit or gateway following Homematic IP setup procedures. After physical and logical connections are made, configure the desired behaviors — such as remote operation, scene participation, and automation rules — within the Homematic IP management interface or app. Verify that door status and control commands are transmitted reliably before completing installation.

Recommendations

Use the adapter only with Hörmann drives that explicitly support the HCP interface and within environments conforming to local electrical and safety regulations. Ensure firmware and software of both Homematic IP and Hörmann components are up to date. For safety, test limit switches and obstacle detection after integration and configure user permissions in the Homematic IP system to prevent unauthorized operation.
