PEAK PERFORMANCE casaco shell M Trail Hipe 3L - verde - XL

When you're pushing up a scree slope and the clouds burst, the M Trail Hipe 3L Shell Jacket is what you want between you and the storm. Built for hikers and mountaineers who face sudden downpours and gusty ridgelines, this jacket combines a 3-layer waterproof/breathable membrane with fully taped seams to keep you dry without overheating. The helmet-compatible hood, pit zips, and articulated cut let you move freely over technical terrain, while the durable face fabric shrugs off abrasion from pack straps and rock. In a deep forest green, it pairs technical performance with a clean, understated look that works from basecamp to summit.

Why choose it

The Hipe 3L Shell Jacket is engineered for serious mountain use. Its 3-layer construction bonds the outer fabric, membrane, and inner liner into one, reducing weight and bulk while maximizing durability and breathability. Unlike cheaper 2.5-layer jackets, it won’t feel clammy against your skin during high-output climbs. The pit zips dump heat fast when you’re working hard, and the helmet-compatible hood gives full coverage without limiting your vision. Every detail—from the storm flap to the adjustable hem—is designed to keep the elements out and your comfort in.

Ideal use cases

• Alpine hiking and mountaineering in wet, windy conditions
• Backpacking trips where weight and packability matter
• Climbing approaches with heavy pack loads
• Year-round shell for changeable mountain weather

Good to know

This jacket is cut for layering: size up if you plan to wear bulky insulation underneath. The deep forest green colour is versatile and hides trail dirt well. Follow care instructions to maintain the waterproof membrane—use a technical wash and reapply DWR as needed.
