QNAP - conjunto de discos - 12 baías (SATA-600) - SAS 12Gb/s (externo) - Rack - montagem - 2U (TL-R1200PES-RP)

The TL-R1200PES-RP TL PCIe interface JBOD storage enclosure expands the capacity of a QuTS hero or QTS NAS using SATA hard drives. It provides large storage capacity and high transfer speeds, suitable for archiving, backups for virtualization, surveillance recordings, large datasets, and multimedia.

Advantages

The TL-R1200PES-RP supports up to 2.0 PB total capacity for a QuTS hero NAS when connecting up to twelve expansion enclosures (up to 144 SATA drives). It uses common, cost-effective SATA drives that are available in high capacities, and features a PCIe Gen 3 x8 interface offering up to 64 Gb/s transfer speed. Setup is simple—connect the enclosure to the host NAS without requiring RAID rebuilding on the host. Power on/off is linked with the host NAS and redundant power supplies improve reliability and service continuity.

Key specifications

• Interface: PCIe Gen 3 x8 (TL PCIe interface)
• Drive type: SATA hard drives
• Maximum expansion: Up to twelve TL-R1200PES-RP enclosures (up to 144 drives)
• Maximum scalable capacity for QuTS hero NAS: 2.0 PB
• Maximum transfer rate: Up to 64 Gb/s
• Power: Redundant power supplies; host-linked power on/off

How to use

Connect the TL-R1200PES-RP enclosure to a compatible QuTS hero or QTS host NAS using the appropriate PCIe TL connection. Install SATA hard drives into the enclosure, then power it on; the enclosure's power state will follow the host NAS. Configure new volumes on the TL-R1200PES-RP from the host NAS using Storage & Snapshots Manager to expand existing storage pools. RAID re-building on the host is not required, and initial setup can be completed within minutes.

Recommendations

Use enterprise-grade or high-capacity SATA drives recommended by QNAP for large-scale storage environments. Pair the TL-R1200PES-RP with QuTS hero enterprise or all-flash NAS models when requiring both high performance and petabyte-class capacity. Ensure proper cooling and a stable power environment; maintain firmware and host NAS software up to date for compatibility and reliability.
