The Metabo ST 18L 90 cordless jigsaw is an 18V Lithium‑Ion cutting tool designed for making straight and curved cuts in wood and similar materials. With a maximum cutting depth of 90 mm, this compact, battery-powered jigsaw provides mobility for on-site work and flexibility for workshop tasks. Its design emphasizes practical handling and compatibility with the Metabo 18V battery system, allowing users to perform renovation, carpentry and DIY jobs without a power cord.

Advantages

The tool offers cordless operation on an 18V Lithium‑Ion system, reducing restrictions from power outlets and cables. A 90 mm maximum cutting depth enables effective work on medium-thickness boards and structural timber. The jigsaw is built for easy handling and maneuverability for both straight and curved cuts, and its battery compatibility supports quick swapping and extended use when paired with spare batteries. The construction balances portability with the cutting capacity required for typical renovation and carpentry tasks.

Suitable for

• Renovation projects involving timber trimming and panel cutting
• Carpentry tasks that require curved or straight cuts in wood
• On-site work where access to mains power is limited
• DIY home improvement and furniture modification

How to use

Install a compatible 18V Lithium‑Ion battery before operation and ensure the blade is suitable and securely fastened for the intended material. Mark the cut line on the workpiece, set the jigsaw baseplate flat against the surface, and start the tool while holding it steadily. Guide the jigsaw along the marked line at a controlled feed rate; adjust speed settings if the model offers them to match material thickness and desired finish. After cutting, allow the blade to stop completely before setting the tool down and remove the battery for safe storage or blade changes.

Lietošanas ieteikumi

Use sharp, application-appropriate blades for cleaner cuts and reduced motor load. Operate the jigsaw with both hands when feasible and secure the workpiece with clamps to prevent movement. Monitor battery charge level and have a spare charged battery available for extended tasks. For dust control and visibility, combine steady cutting speed with occasional clearing of the cut line.
