Adaptador ShiverPeaks ficha TAE-F para conector fêmea Western 6/4 modelo 71205

The ShiverPeaks Adapter TAE F‑Plug to Western Coupling 6/4 Model 71205 is a compact conversion accessory that allows a TAE F‑plug terminated cable to connect to Western (RJ‑type) telecommunication equipment using a 6/4 wiring scheme. It is designed for installations where legacy German TAE terminations must interface with devices or patch panels that accept Western couplings, providing a simple physical and electrical bridge without modifying existing cabling.

Advantages

This adapter provides a small, easy-to-install interface that preserves the original TAE cable while enabling connection to Western-standard ports. Its 6/4 wiring supports common two-line voice configurations, and the narrow profile is suitable for confined spaces or crowded patch panels. The device requires no soldering or cable retermination, reducing installation time and the risk of wiring errors.

Suitable for

• Connecting TAE F‑plug terminated telephone cables to RJ-style telephone equipment
• Integrating legacy TAE wall outlets with PBX systems and voice gateways that use Western couplings
• Temporary or permanent adaptations in office or residential voice line installations

Key specifications

• Interface: TAE F‑plug (female) to Western (RJ‑type) coupling
• Wiring: 6/4 wiring scheme for two-line voice connections
• Form factor: compact and narrow profile suitable for tight mounting spaces
• Installation: plug-and-play, no tools required for basic connection
• Compatibility: designed for standard telephony signals and voltages used in voice line installations

How to use

To use the adapter, insert the TAE F‑plug cable into the adapter’s TAE side and connect a Western (RJ‑type) plug into the opposite coupling. Ensure connectors are fully seated to maintain reliable contact. Verify line operation by testing voice transmission or dial tone after connection. For multi-line setups, confirm that the equipment’s coupling corresponds to the 6/4 wiring scheme to avoid cross-wiring.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry indoor environments and avoid excessive bending or strain on connected cables. If permanent mounting or frequent reconnections are expected, periodically inspect the connector contacts for wear or corrosion and replace the adapter if contact reliability decreases.
