AIC J4078-01-35X 4U 78x 3,5 polegadas Hot-Swap baías JBOD com Single-SAS - Caixa - 3,5

When storage demands outgrow the capacity of a single server, the AIC J4078-01-35X steps in as a high-density JBOD enclosure that turns 78 drive bays into one massive, manageable pool. It connects to a host server or controller via external SAS, giving you the raw capacity of up to 78 hot-swappable 3.5-inch drives without the cost of additional compute nodes.

Who is it for

This enclosure is built for data centers, media archives, backup repositories, and any environment where terabytes matter more than transactions. If you already have a SAS HBA or RAID controller with external ports, you can add this JBOD and scale storage almost instantly. It suits IT administrators who need simple, reliable expansion without complex management software.

Main features

• 4U rackmount chassis with 78 front-access 3.5-inch drive bays, all hot-swappable.
• Single SAS expander backplane supporting 12Gb/s SAS-3 and 6Gb/s SATA drives.
• Redundant hot-swap power supplies and fan modules for continuous operation.
• SCSI Enclosure Services (SES) monitoring for drive, fan, and PSU status via LED indicators.
• Multiple external Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644) ports for flexible host connectivity.
• Heavy-duty steel construction in black, with included rackmount rails.

Tips

Pair this enclosure with a compatible external SAS HBA or RAID controller that supports SAS expanders. For best performance, use 12Gb/s SAS drives; mixing SAS and SATA is possible but may affect overall throughput. Ensure adequate airflow in the rack and keep the front bezel free of obstructions to maintain drive temperatures.
