Alicate de bomba de água Knipex 86 05 180

The Knipex 86 05 180 slip-joint pliers are made from chrome vanadium electric steel, forged and oil-hardened for durability. At 180 mm overall length and a maximum nut capacity of 35 mm, they combine compact size with strong lever transmission to handle gripping, holding, pressing and bending tasks while protecting plated fittings and chrome surfaces.

Advantages

These pliers replace the need for separate metric and imperial spanners by offering an adjustable tightening tool with parallel, smooth jaws that work directly on chrome without causing damage. A zero-backlash jaw pressure prevents harm to sensitive component edges, while the ratchet-type principle and a lever transmission greater than 10:1 deliver strong gripping power and quick operation. The reliable hinge bolt catch prevents unintentional shifting and the push-button adjustment lets you set the jaw width directly on the workpiece.

Suitable for

• Gripping and holding small to medium workpieces
• Tightening and loosening bolted connections up to 35 mm
• Pressing and bending metal parts
• Working on plated fittings and chrome surfaces without damage
• General workshop, maintenance and DIY tasks

How to use

Press the adjustment button and slide the jaws to the appropriate width around the fastener or workpiece, then release the button to lock the hinge bolt securely. Use the parallel smooth jaws to engage chrome-plated fittings or delicate edges, applying steady force through the handles. For quick tightening or release, use the ratchet-type action; for pressing or bending, position the workpiece between the jaws and apply controlled leverage.

Recommendations

Use these pliers for applications that require a slim jaw profile and damage-free contact with plated or chrome surfaces. Avoid using them on live electrical circuits and do not exceed the specified maximum nut size to prevent tool damage.
