The Fein ASB 18 Q AS N00 is an 18V cordless drill/driver engineered for general drilling and screwdriving tasks. As a compact cordless tool from Fein, it provides cordless mobility for on-site and workshop work, combining compact dimensions with sufficient torque and speed control for assembly, installation and maintenance operations. The tool is intended for users who need a reliable battery-powered driver that balances portability and practical performance.

Advantages

The compact design of the Fein ASB 18 Q AS N00 reduces fatigue during prolonged use and allows access in confined spaces. Its brushless motor provides efficient power delivery and longer service intervals compared with brushed designs. Variable speed and adjustable torque settings enable precise screw insertion and controlled drilling into common materials. The cordless freedom eliminates the need for a power outlet and reduces cable clutter on jobsites.

Suitable for

• Assembly of furniture and fittings in workshops and on-site locations
• Installation tasks such as mounting fixtures, electrical boxes and brackets
• Maintenance and repair work requiring a portable driver
• Drilling and screwdriving in wood, soft plastics and light metal applications

Key specifications

• Nominal voltage: 18 V
• Tool type: Cordless drill/driver, compact form factor
• Motor type: Brushless motor for improved efficiency
• Speed control: Variable speed control for precise operation
• Torque control: Adjustable torque settings for screwdriving accuracy
• Chuck/bit interface: Quick-change hex or keyless chuck compatibility for bit exchange
• Ergonomics: Compact grip and lightweight design suited for confined spaces

How to use

Fit a suitable bit or drill at the chuck or quick-change interface and set the desired torque and speed. Ensure the correct battery is fully charged and inserted according to the tool's orientation and locking mechanism. For screwdriving, select a torque setting that prevents overdriving and start at low speed to locate the fastener, then increase speed as needed. For drilling, choose an appropriate drill bit for the material and apply steady, even pressure while maintaining tool alignment. Observe standard safety practices including eye protection and secure workpiece clamping.

Recommendations

Use the Fein ASB 18 Q AS N00 with manufacturer-recommended 18V battery packs and chargers. For best results, match torque and speed settings to the material and fastener size, recharge batteries before they are fully depleted, and store the tool and batteries in a dry, moderate-temperature environment to preserve battery life and tool performance.
