Autorrádio Blaupunkt Hamburg SQM 23 DAB 200 W Bluetooth

The Blaupunkt Hamburg SQM 23 DAB revives the classic 1-DIN car radio design from the 1980s while integrating modern reception and multimedia functions. The unit combines a compact installation depth suited for vintage vehicles with multicolour LC display lighting, warm white LED key illumination, FM RDS and DAB+ tuners, Bluetooth audio streaming and hands-free calling, plus front and rear USB connectivity for playback and charging. Device settings are retained after power loss and standby consumption is minimized to protect the vehicle battery.

Advantages

The Hamburg SQM 23 DAB preserves the original styling of the 1983 Blaupunkt model and adds modern features such as DAB+ digital radio and an FM RDS tuner for improved reception quality. Multicolour LC display lighting and warm white LEDs for key labels allow cockpit-adapted illumination. Multimedia interfaces include front USB (hidden behind a flap), rear USB, Apple-compatible connection and Bluetooth for audio streaming and hands-free calls. Short installation depth makes it suitable for cars with limited DIN space.

How to use

Install the Blaupunkt Hamburg SQM 23 DAB into a standard 1-DIN slot following vehicle-specific fitting instructions. Connect the vehicle power, speakers and external antenna; plug in USB media or pair a mobile phone via Bluetooth to stream audio and enable hands-free calls. Use the menu to personalise the multicolour display, program a direct-access button for a preferred source (USB, iPod, Bluetooth) and enable vehicle-light-linked key illumination if required. The device will save settings automatically, so preferences remain after battery disconnects.

Recommendations

For best reception, connect the factory or a compatible external antenna. Use short USB sticks for the front port so they can be concealed behind the flap to maintain the radio’s original appearance. When using voice assistants (Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa) rely on the paired phone’s microphone and data connection for voice control and streaming services.
