Cabo AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10G 5 m cabo ótico ativo para SFP+

AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M is a 5-meter active optical cable that delivers 10 Gbps connectivity for SFP+ ports. Engineered for short-range, high-bandwidth links, this optical active cable integrates transceiver functionality with a factory-terminated fiber connection to provide a compact, low-power alternative to separate optical transceivers and patch cords. It is intended for use in dense networking environments where consistent 10G performance and reduced cabling complexity are required.

Advantages

The AOC cable reduces installation space and simplifies rack cabling by combining transceiver and patch cable into a single unit. Because it is an active optical solution, it offers lower power consumption and less heat generation compared with traditional electrical DACs over longer distances. The pre-terminated, polarity-safe design minimizes connector handling and the integrated optics provide stable signal integrity and low latency for 10G links.

Suitable for

• Data center switch-to-switch uplinks
• Server-to-top-of-rack and server-to-switch interconnects
• Network aggregation and fabric connections
• Short-reach 10G links within racks and between adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ plug-and-play optical active cable
• Nominal data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable length: 5 meters optical active cable
• Type: Active optical cable with integrated transceiver functionality
• Typical power consumption: low-power design suitable for dense deployments
• Form factor: compact SFP+ connector housing
• Compatibility: designed for SFP+ ports supporting 10G signalling

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into corresponding SFP+ ports on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered and configured for 10G operation; the cable is designed for plug-and-play use with minimal configuration. Route the 5 m cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius for optical fibers. For device compatibility, verify that the host ports accept third-party active optical cables or SFP+ modules and update device firmware if necessary.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m active optical cable for short-range 10G links inside cabinets and between nearby racks. Avoid kinking, excessive pulling force, and tight wraps around cable management elements. Store and handle the cable by the connector housings when inserting or removing to protect the optical termini and maintain link reliability.
