Cabo AOC CBO SFP25G-AOC50M-TG 50 m cabo ótico ativo 25G para ligações 25Gbps SFP28/SFP25

The AOC cable CBO SFP25G-AOC50M-TG 50 m is an active optical cable designed to deliver reliable 25 Gbps connectivity over a 50-metre link. It uses SFP-compatible transceivers at both ends in the SFP28/SFP25 form factor, providing a direct-attach solution that reduces electromagnetic interference and lowers latency compared with equivalent copper assemblies. The cable is intended for short-to-medium reach connections in data centre and enterprise network environments where consistent 25Gbps performance is required.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides consistent 25 Gbps throughput across a 50 m distance while maintaining low power consumption for a direct-attach solution. Optical transmission removes susceptibility to electromagnetic interference common to copper links and supports stable signal integrity over the full length. The SFP-compatible transceivers enable plug-and-play use with equipment that accepts SFP28/SFP25 modules, simplifying installation and reducing the need for separate transceiver purchases.

Suitable for

• Data centre switch-to-switch uplinks and spine-leaf fabrics
• Server uplinks and top-of-rack connections
• Storage area network links and storage server connectivity
• High-density network racks requiring short-to-medium reach 25Gbps links

Key specifications

• Transmission speed: 25 Gbps (full duplex)
• Form factor: SFP28/SFP25 compatible transceivers at both ends
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 50 metres
• Characteristic: Low latency optical transmission
• Immunity: Reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper
• Typical use case: Direct-attach for short-to-medium reach high-speed links

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP-compatible module into the appropriate SFP/SFP28 port on the network devices until the module latches. Verify link status on both devices and confirm that the interfaces negotiate to 25 Gbps. No external power or separate transceivers are required beyond the built-in modules. For removal, release the transceiver latches and pull the cable straight out to avoid stressing the connector. Follow device vendor guidance for optical port handling and electrostatic precautions.

Recommendations

Route the cable with gentle bends only, respecting the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for optical assemblies. Avoid tight loops and mechanical strain near the connectors, and keep the cable away from sources of mechanical abrasion. Use in temperature-controlled indoor network environments and check device compatibility with SFP28/SFP25 form-factor modules before deployment.
