Cabo AOC de fibra ótica CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M para ligações 10G, cabo ótico ativo, comprimento 5 m

The CBO fiber AOC cable SFP-AOC-10G-5M for 10G connections is an active optical cable designed for short-reach high-speed interconnects. Built for SFP+ ports, this 5 m BlueOptics cable delivers 10 Gigabit data rates between switches, servers and storage devices without requiring separate transceiver modules. The integrated active optics reduce signal loss and support stable, low-latency links in dense rack and data center environments.

Advantages

This AOC eliminates the need for separate SFP+ transceivers, simplifying installation and reducing component count in network racks. With a fixed 5 m length and plug-and-play SFP+ form factor, it provides predictable signal performance and consistent 10G throughput. The cable’s active components enable lower power consumption compared with some optical transceiver plus copper-cable combinations and reduce electromagnetic interference risks in congested installations.

Suitable for

• Short-reach connections between switches in a rack or across adjacent racks
• Direct links between servers and top-of-rack switches
• Interconnects for storage arrays and SAN components requiring 10 Gbps
• Environments where compact, low-latency cabling is required

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10G)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector/form factor: SFP+ direct-attach active optical cable
• Type: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated optic transceivers
• Typical use: Short-reach data center interconnects and rack wiring
• Latency: Low, suitable for latency-sensitive traffic

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked, ensuring that the ports are powered and compatible with 10G SFP+ AOC modules. The cable is designed for plug-and-play operation; operating systems and network equipment typically recognize the link automatically. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable during installation to maintain optical performance and mechanical longevity.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this AOC for connections within a single rack or between adjacent racks up to 5 m. Verify SFP+ port compatibility with the switch or server vendor and keep the cable away from sources of mechanical stress and heat. When replacing or moving equipment, handle connectors by the housing and avoid touching the optical interface.
