Cabo ótico ativo AOC CBO SFP28-AOC-3M 3 m, compatível com F5 Networks, SFP28

The AOC SFP28-AOC-3M is a 3 meter active optical cable in SFP28 form factor compatible with F5 Networks equipment. It provides a direct fiber-optic connection between SFP28 ports for short-reach, high-speed links. Engineered for 25/28G-class applications, this AOC offers low latency, reduced electromagnetic interference and a lightweight cabling alternative to copper DACs, making it suitable for dense rack environments such as data center top-of-rack, switch-to-switch and server uplinks.

Advantages

This BlueOptics active optical cable delivers consistent 25/28G bandwidth with low power consumption at the transceiver end and stable signal integrity over a 3 m distance. The integrated optics eliminate the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying installation and reducing port density constraints. The fiber-based link reduces susceptibility to EMI and crosstalk while offering a compact, flexible cable that eases airflow and cable management in rack installations.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch high-speed links
• Server uplinks requiring 25G/28G connectivity
• Environments that demand reduced EMI and lightweight cabling

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable
• Length: 3 meters
• Supported data rate: 25/28 Gbps class
• Link type: short-reach multimode fiber optics
• Connector: SFP28 compatible duplex interface
• Latency: low-latency link suitable for switch and server interconnects
• Power: low power consumption per link (transceiver-integrated)

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector end into the corresponding SFP28 port on compatible network devices, ensuring proper seating until the latch engages. Use the cable to establish a direct optical link between switches, servers or other F5 Networks-compatible equipment. Verify link status and speed through device management interfaces and ensure firmware or driver compatibility where required. For safe removal, release the connector latch before extracting the module from the port.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress on the cable; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius. Keep connectors clean and covered when not in use to prevent contamination. Use this AOC for short-reach connections within the same rack or across adjacent racks, and confirm device compatibility lists or interoperability notes for F5 Networks equipment prior to deployment.
