Cabo ótico ativo CBO AOC Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G 15m SFP+

CBO AOC Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G Active Optical Cable 15m SFP+ is a 15-metre SFP+ active optical cable engineered for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. It integrates optical transceivers and duplex multimode fiber in a single assembly to provide a direct-attach solution for short-range, high-speed interconnects. The cable is intended for use in data center environments where compact, energy-efficient and low-latency connectivity is required between switches, servers and storage systems.

Advantages

The active optical design eliminates the need for separate pluggable transceivers, reducing module count and simplifying inventory. With 10 Gb/s throughput and optical transmission, the cable offers lower power consumption and reduced heat generation compared with equivalent copper direct-attach solutions. Its 15 m length supports flexible rack-to-rack and top-of-rack connections while maintaining low latency and strong signal integrity over the prescribed distance.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack switch to server links in data centers
• Switch-to-switch connections within short to medium rack rows
• Storage area network (SAN) uplinks and interconnects
• High-density patching where reduced weight and power are beneficial

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ duplex
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 Gb/s)
• Length: 15 metres
• Media: Active optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Form factor: SFP+ plug-and-play assembly
• Typical use range: short-range data center interconnects
• Power and latency: lower power draw and latency compared with equivalent copper DACs

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into a compatible SFP+ port on switches, servers or storage devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are seated properly and that connected equipment supports active optical SFP+ assemblies. No separate transceivers or fiber patch panels are required. After physical installation, verify link status and speed in device management interfaces and check for expected 10 Gb/s operation.

Recommendations

Use the cable within recommended ambient temperature ranges and avoid tight bends or pressure on the cable assembly. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ active optical assemblies and test the link after installation. For best signal reliability, route the cable to minimize stress and avoid sharp bends at the connector boot.
