Cabo ótico ativo CBO AOC SFP+ Netgear AXC7605 10G 5M, 10 Gbit/s, 5 m

CBO AOC SFP+ Netgear AXC7605 10G 5M active optical cable is a factory-terminated duplex cable for SFP+ ports that carries 10 Gbps Ethernet signals over a 5-metre optical link. The cable integrates transceiver electronics and single-mode or multimode optical fibers (as supported by the host devices) to create a plug-and-play connection between switches, servers and other network equipment with SFP+ interfaces. It is intended for short-reach, high-bandwidth patching inside racks and between adjacent cabinets where reduced latency, immunity to electromagnetic interference and compact cabling are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable eliminates the need for separate SFP+ transceivers and patch fiber, simplifying installation and reducing component count. It provides low-latency 10 Gbps throughput and high signal integrity over the 5 m length while being immune to electromagnetic interference. The pre-terminated duplex design offers predictable performance and quick deployment in data centre and enterprise rack environments. The cable’s form factor is compatible with standard SFP+ ports, allowing direct connection without additional configuration.

Suitable for

• Short-range 10 Gbps connections between top-of-rack switches and adjacent aggregation switches
• Server-to-switch links inside the same rack or across nearby racks
• High-density patching in data centre and enterprise network installations
• Environments requiring immunity to EMI or reduced cable bulk

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ compliant plugs on both ends
• Data rate: up to 10 Gbps
• Length: 5 metres
• Cable type: active optical duplex cable (AOC)
• Latency: low propagation delay suitable for high-performance networking
• EMI resistance: immune to electromagnetic interference due to optical transmission
• Deployment: plug-and-play, factory-terminated ends for direct insertion into SFP+ ports

How to use

Ensure that both devices support SFP+ active optical cable connections and power is applied according to device procedures. Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding port until the latch engages; no external transceivers or separate fibre jumpers are required. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it within the rack to prevent strain at the connector ends. Verify link status and negotiated speed on connected devices and check network settings if auto-negotiation does not establish a 10 Gbps link.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m active optical cable for short-reach, high-bandwidth links inside racks and between adjacent cabinets. Maintain bend radius guidelines, avoid exposure to fluids and extreme temperatures, and confirm compatibility with your SFP+ ports and switch firmware to ensure reliable operation.
