Cabo ótico ativo CBO AOC SFP28-AOC-50M 50 m SFP28 compatível com Viavi

Active Optical Cable CBO AOC SFP28-AOC-50M is a 50-metre SFP28-compatible fiber assembly engineered for 25 Gbps serial links. The cable integrates factory-terminated SFP28 pluggable interfaces on both ends and a fiber-optic active link that delivers low-latency transmission for short- to medium-reach data center and networking interconnects. It is intended to simplify deployment by eliminating separate transceivers and reducing cabling complexity in server-to-switch and switch-to-switch topologies.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a fully integrated solution with plug-and-play SFP28 interfaces, preserving the form factor and hot-pluggable convenience of standard pluggable modules. Optical transmission removes electromagnetic interference concerns common with copper and enables consistent 25 Gbps performance over the full 50-metre length. Factory termination ensures controlled insertion loss and stable optical characteristics, while the lightweight cable and flexible jacket facilitate cable management within racks and conduit runs.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connectivity in data center racks
• Switch-to-switch stacking and leaf-spine interconnects
• Short- to medium-reach optical links up to 50 m where transceiver-less deployment is preferred
• Environments requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth 25 Gbps links

Key specifications

• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Connector type: SFP28 pluggable interfaces on both ends
• Data rate: supports 25 Gbps serial links
• Maximum length: 50 metres
• Transmission medium: multimode/mode-optimized optical fiber with active electronics
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for data centre interconnects
• Deployment: factory-terminated, hot-pluggable

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 plug into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the module latches. Ensure that connected devices support SFP28 AOC links and have appropriate port settings for 25 Gbps operation. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius to preserve optical performance. If link indicators are available on your devices, verify that the physical link is established and operational after installation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, confirm device compatibility with SFP28 AOC assemblies and keep firmware updated on switches and servers. Avoid exceeding the specified 50 m length and protect connector ends from dust and contamination when the cable is disconnected. Use appropriate cable ties and routing accessories to prevent kinks and maintain bend radius compliance.
