Cabo ótico ativo CBO AOC Viavi SFP+ SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G, 15 m

CBO AOC Viavi SFP-AOC-10G-15M is a 10 Gigabit Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for direct-attach connections between devices equipped with SFP+ ports. With a 15 m cable length, this SFP+ AOC provides fiber-optic performance in a pre-terminated, vendor-compatible module form factor that simplifies installation, reduces weight compared with copper, and eliminates susceptibility to electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

The AOC delivers 10G bandwidth with low latency and high signal integrity over a 15 metre reach, enabling reliable short-to-medium distance links without separate transceivers and fiber patch cords. As a pre-assembled optical solution it reduces cable management complexity, offers plug-and-play interoperability with SFP+ ports, and lowers power consumption compared with some active electrical alternatives.

Suitable for

• Inter-switch connections in data center topologies
• Server-to-switch uplinks
• Storage area network links and SAN aggregation
• High-density rack deployments requiring compact, low-EMI cabling

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ form-factor plug-and-play optical interface
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second full duplex
• Cable length: 15 metres
• Media: multimode active optical fiber assembly
• Latency: low propagation delay suitable for high-performance networks
• Power consumption: optimized for SFP+ active optical implementation
• Operating environment: designed for typical data center ambient conditions

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the SFP+ port on the networking devices until the module clicks into place. Ensure both ends are clean and that devices are powered and configured to recognize SFP+ links. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cables are required; the integrated optical assembly provides an end-to-end link. Monitor link status via device management interfaces and verify 10G negotiation and correct duplex operation after insertion.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; observe minimum bend radius recommendations for active optical assemblies. Use the AOC within controlled data center temperatures and humidity levels, and confirm interoperability with your switch and server vendors' SFP+ compatibility lists when mixing third-party modules.
