Cabo ótico ativo CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G SFP+ cabo ótico ativo, 15 m

The Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G SFP+ Active Optical Cable, 15 m provides a direct, plug-and-play 10 Gbps connection for SFP+ ports over a 15-meter optical link. Designed for use between SFP+ compatible switches, servers and network appliances, this AOC removes the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords, offering a compact cabling option with low latency and reduced power consumption. The cable is intended for short-reach interconnects in rack and data center environments where reliable 10G links are required.

Advantages

The cable delivers a 10 Gbps full-duplex link with consistent signal integrity across a 15 m distance and eliminates the need to install separate transceiver modules and fiber jumpers. Its plug-and-play SFP+ form-factor simplifies deployment and lowers system power draw compared with discrete transceivers and optical modules. The integrated design reduces points of failure and saves rack space while maintaining low latency and stable throughput for typical server and switch interconnect scenarios.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting SFP+ ports in data center racks and server cabinets
• High-speed links between switches and top-of-rack or leaf switches
• Direct connections between servers and network appliances with SFP+ interfaces

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps full duplex
• Connector type: SFP+ integrated AOC plug
• Length: 15 meters
• Reach: short-reach multimode/active optical link designed for up to 15 m
• Latency: low-latency optical interconnect suitable for data center traffic
• Power consumption: lower than comparable solutions using separate transceivers

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ plug into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be connected; the link is recognized automatically by most modern switches and servers without additional configuration. Ensure that both devices support SFP+ AOC modules and that ports are enabled in the device settings. Route the cable within the rack to avoid sharp bends and excessive strain; secure it with appropriate cable management to maintain airflow and accessibility.

Recommendations

Use this 15 m Active Optical Cable for short-reach 10G interconnects inside racks and between adjacent racks; avoid outdoor use and environments with extreme temperature or mechanical stress. Check device compatibility with SFP+ AOC links and follow vendor guidelines for firmware and port settings to ensure optimal performance.
