Cabo ótico ativo CBO SFP28-AOC-5M 5 m SFP28 compatível com Viavi

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-5M is a 5-meter SFP28-compatible fiber link designed for direct server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in 25 Gb/s environments. The cable integrates SFP28 connectors with a fixed optical assembly to deliver low-latency, pre-terminated connectivity for SFP28 ports. Its compact, integrated design removes the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, saving port space and reducing per-link power consumption.

Advantages

This SFP28 AOC offers a ready-to-use solution with consistent optical performance and reduced installation time compared with transceiver-plus-fiber assemblies. The fixed-cable format improves airflow and rack density by eliminating bulky transceivers and excess cabling. Compatibility with standard SFP28 ports simplifies procurement and deployment in multi-vendor environments, while the active optical link supports stable 25 Gb/s throughput and low latency suitable for data center interconnects and high-performance computing racks.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25 Gb/s server-to-switch connections
• Switch-to-switch uplinks within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-density rack deployments where reduced power and space per link are required
• Environments preferring pre-terminated vendor-compatible AOCs for rapid installation

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 form-factor connectors on both ends
• Length: 5 meters
• Data rate: Supports 25 Gb/s links
• Cable type: Active optical cable (integrated transceiver and fiber)
• Latency: Low-latency optical transmission suitable for short-reach applications
• Physical: Lightweight fiber assembly with small connector footprint for high-density ports

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable into compatible SFP28 ports by inserting each end into the device slot until the connector latches. Ensure both host ports are configured for 25 Gb/s operation according to your switch or server settings. No separate transceiver or fiber termination is required; the cable arrives pre-terminated and calibrated for immediate use. Verify link status and speed through device management interfaces after insertion.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain on the SFP28 connectors. Use within racks or between adjacent racks for best signal integrity. Confirm vendor compatibility with your hardware to ensure full feature support and monitor port temperature and link status during initial deployment.
