Cabo SFP28-DAC passivo CBO SFP28-DAC-2M 2 m – ligação direta de cobre para ligações de 25 Gbit/s

This passive SFP28 DAC cable CBO SFP28-DAC-2M is a 2‑meter direct‑attach copper assembly designed for 25Gbps SFP28 ports. The cable provides a fixed, low‑latency electrical connection between compatible switches, routers and network interface cards without the need for separate optical transceivers. Optimized for short‑reach interconnects in data centers and enterprise rack environments, the assembly offers reduced power consumption and lower cost compared with active or optical alternatives while maintaining 25Gbps line rate compatibility.

Advantages

The passive design eliminates onboard transceiver modules and associated power draw, delivering lower operational energy use and reduced heat output. With a 2 m length, the cable supports common rack and row interconnect distances while keeping signal integrity for 25Gbps links. Installation is plug‑and‑play into SFP28 ports, removing the need for additional configuration or fiber handling, and the direct copper construction provides deterministic latency suitable for latency‑sensitive applications.

Suitable for

• Short‑reach connections between top‑of‑rack switches
• Direct links from servers to network interface cards (NICs)
• Interconnects inside data centre racks and equipment cabinets
• Cost‑sensitive 25GbE deployments where optical transceivers are not required

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP28 direct‑attach copper
• Supported data rate: 25 Gbps per lane (25GbE)
• Length: 2 metres
• Connector: SFP28 plug at both ends
• Design: Passive DAC (no active components)
• Cable medium: Twinax copper assembly

How to use

Power down equipment if required by the device manufacturer, then insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port until the latch engages. In most systems the cable is hot‑pluggable, but verify host and switch documentation for hot‑swap support. After insertion the link should be recognised automatically at 25Gbps if the connected ports are configured for that speed. For removal, depress the latch and withdraw the connector straight out to avoid bending the cable ends.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m passive SFP28 DAC cable for short, rack‑level 25GbE connections where low latency and reduced power consumption are priorities. Avoid tight bends and maintain recommended bend radius for twinax cables; do not use for distances beyond typical short‑reach limits. Confirm compatibility with your switch or NIC vendor list to ensure full port interoperability.
