Cabo Twinax SFF-8644 CBO CBL-SAST-0690-1-BL 2 m macho a macho

CBO CBL-SAST-0690-1-BL is a 2 m Twinax direct-attach cable fitted with SFF-8644 male connectors on both ends. It is designed for short-range, high-speed point-to-point links between compatible storage and networking equipment. The cable provides a low-latency electrical connection suitable for rack-mounted servers, switches and host bus adapters in data centre and enterprise environments where reliable, short-reach connectivity is required.

Advantages

The SFF-8644 Twinax cable offers a compact direct-attach solution that eliminates the need for optical transceivers for short distances, reducing power consumption and latency. With a fixed 2 m length and factory-terminated SFF-8644 male connectors, it ensures consistent signal integrity and predictable performance. Its suitability for short-range interconnects simplifies cabling in dense rack configurations and lowers total cost of ownership for point-to-point links.

Suitable for

• Short-range server-to-switch connections in rack environments
• Direct links between storage arrays and host bus adapters (HBAs)
• High-speed point-to-point interconnects inside data centres

Key specifications

• Cable type: Twinax direct-attach cable
• Connector type: SFF-8644 male to SFF-8644 male
• Length: 2 metres
• Application: Short-reach electrical interconnect for high-speed data links
• Typical use: Rack-mounted and short-distance server/storage cabling

How to use

Connect each SFF-8644 male connector to corresponding SFF-8644 ports on compatible servers, switches or HBAs, ensuring firm seating of the connectors. Route the 2 m cable within the rack to avoid sharp bends and strain on the connectors. Verify link status and speed settings on connected devices after installation and use vendor documentation for any port-specific configuration or compatibility notes.

Recommendations

Use this Twinax cable for direct, short-distance links where optical transceivers are unnecessary. Avoid exceeding the intended 2 m reach and maintain proper bend radius to preserve signal integrity. Store and handle the cable to prevent kinks or damage to the connectors.
