BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-NK-BO Cabo InfiniBand/Fibra ótica 15m SFP28 Macho/Macho

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-NK-BO is a 15-meter active optical cable with SFP28 male connectors on both ends, designed for 25 Gbps class high-speed links in data centers and high-performance computing environments. The cable integrates optical transmitter and receiver modules at each end and uses multimode fibre to carry signals compliant with 25GBASE-SR4 style short-range optics. It is offered as a compatible solution for systems that support SFP28 AOC modules and is intended for direct device-to-device connections where a reliable 15 m optical link is required.

Advantages

This BlueOptics SFP28 active optical cable provides predictable 25 Gbps connectivity over a 15 m distance while eliminating the need for separate transceiver modules and external fibre patching. The integrated transceivers reduce component count and simplify installation in rack and chassis environments. Compatibility with SFP28 host ports and support for common 25G protocols allow straightforward integration into existing network and storage topologies without additional media conversion.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches and routers within a rack or across adjacent racks
• High-performance computing (HPC) node-to-node links
• Direct links to storage arrays and server uplinks requiring 25G bandwidth
• Short-reach optical links in data center aggregation and spine/leaf fabrics

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Length: 15 meters
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per link
• Optical medium: multimode fibre suitable for short-range 25G optics
• Form factor compliance: SFP28 MSA-compatible

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the two devices to be connected, ensuring that the port latch engages. Verify that the host devices support SFP28 AOC modules and that port settings match the intended 25G speed and duplex configuration. Once connected, monitor link status indicators on the devices and check interface counters in the management software to confirm proper operation. For hot-plug capable equipment, the cable can be inserted or removed while the system is powered, following the host vendor’s guidelines.

Recommendations

Use this 15 m AOC for short-range, high-speed interconnects inside data center racks or between closely spaced racks. Avoid tight bends and physical stress on the cable, maintain recommended bend radius for multimode fibre, and follow equipment vendor guidance on supported third-party AOC compatibility to ensure stable link behavior.
