BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-MV-BO cabo ótico ativo SFP28 25 m, ficha–ficha, menta

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-MV-BO is a 25 m active optical cable with SFP28 connectors at both ends, designed for high-speed 25G links. Its active transceivers at each end convert electrical signals to optical and back, enabling multi-mode fiber transmission for servers, switches and storage systems. The cable’s mint-coloured jacket aids visual identification in dense cabling environments while its light weight (0.15 kg) simplifies handling and installation.

Advantages

This SFP28 Active Optical Cable supports low-latency, high-bandwidth connections suitable for modern data centre topologies. The integrated transmitter and receiver at each end follow common SFP28 module form-factor conventions to ensure compatibility with SFP28 ports. The cable’s 25 m reach provides a direct-attach optical alternative to copper for medium-length interconnects, reducing weight in cable trays and improving signal integrity over multi-mode fiber.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Switch-to-switch uplinks and aggregation links
• Storage system interconnects and SAN links
• High-density rack cabling where colour-coded identification is useful

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connectors: SFP28 to SFP28
• Designed for 25 Gbit/s class links (25GBASE-SR4 compatible form-factor)
• Multi-mode optical transmission with active transceivers at both ends
• Product colour: mint
• Weight: 0.15 kg

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into a compatible SFP28 port on the target devices until it latches; ensure devices are powered and configured for 25G operation according to the network equipment vendor’s instructions. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain on the connectors; maintain recommended bend radii for multi-mode fibers. Verify link status and negotiate speed and protocol on the connected devices, then test throughput and error rates as part of commissioning.

Recommendations

Use the mint-coloured jacket to separate this 25 m AOC from other cables in patching areas, keep the cable clear of tight cable management paths, and perform regular visual inspections for connector cleanliness. Follow the equipment vendor’s compatibility list and firmware guidelines to ensure stable operation in 25G deployments.
