Bosch PSS 200 A 24000 rpm 200 W

The Bosch PSS 200 A orbital sander is a compact 200 W sanding tool with a 92 x 182 mm sanding plate and an operating speed of 24,000 rpm. Weighing 1.6 kg, it includes an integrated Microfilter dust collection box and a clamp-lever system for fixing sanding sheets, designed for general sanding of wood, metal and plastic surfaces.

Advantages

The sander combines a powerful 200 W motor with a medium-sized sanding surface (92 x 182 mm) to deliver efficient material removal and consistent finish. The built-in Bosch Microfilter System extracts dust directly into the Microfilter Box to keep the working area cleaner. A sanding sheet clamping system with a clamp lever simplifies changing of abrasive sheets. Additional features include a dust extraction connection, a softgrip for improved handling and an ergonomics-conscious design suitable for left-handed users.

Suitable for

• Sanding and finishing of wood surfaces
• Surface preparation of metal and plastic
• Intermediate sanding between coats of paint or varnish
• Small to medium DIY and workshop tasks requiring precise control

Key specifications

• Power: 200 W
• Sanding plate size: 92 x 182 mm
• Idle speed: 24,000 rpm
• Oscillation orbit: 2 mm
• Weight: 1.6 kg
• Dust extraction: Bosch Microfilter Box and external dust connection

How to use

Attach the appropriate grit sanding sheet to the 92 x 182 mm plate and secure it with the clamp-lever system. Connect the Microfilter Box or an external vacuum to the dust extraction port if required. Hold the sander with a softgrip handle, switch it on, and move it evenly across the surface with light pressure; let the motor and abrasive do the work. For best results, sand along the grain on wood and use progressively finer grits to achieve the desired finish.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and a dust mask when sanding. Empty the Microfilter Box regularly to maintain dust extraction performance and check the sanding sheet for wear; replace when abrasive is worn or clogged. Avoid excessive pressure to prevent swirl marks and overheating of the motor.
