Broca piloto KWB 175166 6,6 cm para betão, granito, mármore

The KWB 175166 pilot drill bit is a tungsten carbide tipped hollow core drill designed for drilling in masonry, natural stone, reconstituted stone, concrete, marble and brick. With a diameter of 6.6 cm, the bit is suitable for creating clean cores for fittings such as electrical sockets and waste pipe installations. The bit is supplied as a single piece in a blister pack and is intended for use in both professional and DIY applications.

Advantages

The drill features specially hardened, specially brazed heat-resistant carbide plates and an impact-resistant construction to improve durability when working with hard materials. Its hollow core design enables efficient material removal and precise core drilling. The tungsten carbide tip ensures sustained cutting performance on abrasive surfaces like granite and concrete.

How to use

Secure the drill to a compatible hammer drill or core drilling machine according to the machine manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the drilling position, start at low speed to center the bit, then apply steady pressure and increase speed as appropriate for the material. Use water cooling when drilling marble, granite or other natural stones if recommended by the machine or site conditions. Withdraw the core periodically to clear debris and prevent overheating.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, dust mask) and follow the drill and machine safety instructions. For reinforced concrete or particularly hard stone, use suitable cooling and consider progressive drilling to extend tool life.
