Cabo de fibra ótica Helos 7,5 m OS2 SC/SC

The Helos 7.5m OS2 SC/SC fibre optic cable is a singlemode duplex patch cord with a 9 µm core diameter, designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over longer distances. With SC connectors on both ends and a 7.5 metre length, this cable supports point-to-point connections in structured cabling, data centre racks and telecommunication links where singlemode OS2 performance is required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides low attenuation and stable optical performance typical of OS2 singlemode fibres, enabling consistent signal integrity for long-reach links. The SC/SC connector pair offers a robust, snap-in connection that simplifies installation and maintenance. A 7.5 m length balances routing flexibility with minimal excess slack, making it suitable for rack-to-rack and device-to-device connections inside networking environments.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Singlemode OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (duplex/full duplex)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Polishing/finish: standard singlemode connector endface
• Application: data centre, telecom, FTTH backbone and long-reach links

How to use

Route the Helos OS2 SC/SC cable between SC-compatible ports, ensuring connector endfaces remain clean before mating. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC port until it clicks to secure the connection. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. For best results, keep the cable loosely managed within cable trays or patch panels to prevent stress on the connectors and fibre.

Recommendations

Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before each connection, avoid excessive bending or tension on the cable, and store unused ends with protective dust caps to prevent contamination. Use this OS2 singlemode cable for links where low attenuation and longer reach are required; for short-distance, multimode environments consider using multimode cable variants instead.
