Cabo de fibra ótica InfiniBand ShiverPeaks 77901/4 1 m

The ShiverPeaks InfiniBand fibre optic cable 77901/4 is a 1 m multimode OM4 cable with ST connectors on both ends. Designed for full-duplex high-speed data transmission, this cable supports short-range, high-bandwidth links commonly required in data centres, server racks, storage area networks and professional networking equipment. The 50 µm core diameter and OM4 specification optimise modal bandwidth and signal integrity for applications that demand consistent low-latency performance.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode fibre offers improved bandwidth over earlier multimode grades and is suitable for dense rack-to-rack and intra-rack connections. The ST connectors provide a reliable, simple bayonet coupling that is widely compatible with legacy and current networking hardware. The 1 m length reduces excess cable slack for neater cable management while preserving full-duplex capability for simultaneous transmit and receive channels.

Suitable for

• Short-range high-bandwidth links in data centres
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections within racks
• Storage area network (SAN) uplinks and interconnects
• High-performance computing clusters using InfiniBand
• Network equipment testing and lab setups

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Length: 1 m
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST to ST
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination or damage before installation and clean with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools if necessary. Align the ST connectors with the device adapter and engage the bayonet locking mechanism until it seats securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre. Verify link integrity and correct transmit/receive channels using appropriate diagnostic tools and confirm the supported link speed and signal quality within your network equipment management interface.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a dust-free environment where possible. For optimal performance, avoid kinking or tight bundling and label both ends to simplify maintenance. Replace or re-clean connectors if signal loss or errors are detected during verification.
