Cabo de fibra ótica OM3 MPO/MPO 30 m Digitus DK-2566-30/3

The DIGITUS OM3 MPO/MPO 30m fibre optic cable (DK-2566-30/3) is designed for high-speed data transmission in data centres and network installations. With a 50 µm core diameter and MPO/MTP connectors on both ends, this OM3 multimode cable supports datarates of 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s while offering a compact Ø3.0 mm cable design that conserves space in dense cabling environments.

Advantages

The cable complies with IEC 61754-7 and TIA/EIA-604-5 standards for MPO connectors, ensuring consistent mechanical and optical performance across the network. Its compact construction provides low attenuation and reliable signal integrity over long runs up to 30 metres for this model. The MPO/MTP terminations offer multi-fibre connectivity in a connector roughly comparable in size to a standard RJ45 plug, simplifying high-density deployments.

Suitable for

• Data centre backbone and top-of-rack connections
• High-speed server interconnects (40G/100G)
• InfiniBand and high-performance computing links
• Patch panels and MPO/MTP cassette installations

How to use

Route the fibre cable through cable trays or containment suitable for optical fibres, avoiding tight bends and crush points. Align and insert the MPO/MTP connector into the corresponding MPO port or cassette until it latches; do not force the connector. Ensure both ends are clean before connection — use appropriate fibre cleaning tools. After installation, verify continuity and link performance with an optical tester compatible with multimode OM3 fibres and the targeted datarates.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 MPO/MPO cable for high-density, short- to medium-range multimode links in data centres. Keep bend radius within manufacturer limits, protect connectors with dust caps when not in use, and perform end-to-end testing after installation to confirm 40G/100G readiness.
