Cabo de fibra ótica ROLINE InfiniBand 21159285 7 m 2x LC OM5

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 21159285 is a 7 m duplex fibre patch cable with two LC connectors and OM5 multimode core. Designed for high-speed data transmission, this cable supports full duplex communication over a 50 µm core diameter fibre and is suitable for use in data centers, server rooms and high-performance networking environments where low latency and reliable signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable provides multimode performance optimized for short to medium distance links with improved bandwidth characteristics compared to earlier multimode types. The 2x LC connectors ensure a compact duplex connection compatible with a wide range of transceivers and patch panels. At 7 m length the cable offers flexible routing options in racks and cabinet layouts while maintaining consistent signal quality for InfiniBand and other high-speed protocols.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand interconnects between servers and switches
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters
• Data center fibre patching and rack-to-rack links
• Server room backbone and cross-connects
• Applications requiring multimode OM5 characteristics

Key specifications

• Cable type: duplex multimode fibre
• Connector type: 2x LC (duplex)
• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 7 m
• Communication: full duplex
• Typical use: InfiniBand and high-speed networking

How to use

Identify the LC duplex ports on your devices or patch panels and align the LC connectors with the corresponding receptacles. Insert the connectors gently until they click into place, ensuring correct transmit-to-receive orientation for full duplex operation. Route the 7 m cable through cable management paths or cable trays avoiding tight bends and excessive pulling force. When disconnecting, press the release tab on the LC connector and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radius and avoid sharp bends; store and handle connectors with protective caps when not in use. Use appropriate cleaning procedures for LC ferrules before mating to preserve signal integrity. For longer runs or different performance requirements, verify compatibility of OM5 multimode with your transceivers and network equipment.
