Cabo de fibra ótica ROLINE InfiniBand 3 m 2x LC verde OM5 50 µm

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 3 m 2x LC Green OM5 50 µm is a 3-metre duplex multimode fibre cable designed for high-speed data transmission in modern network infrastructures. Fitted with two LC connectors on each end, the cable uses OM5 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and a green jacket for easy identification. It is intended for short-to-medium distance links where reliable, low-latency optical connections are required, such as between switches, storage systems and high-performance computing nodes.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides consistent full-duplex communication and low insertion loss, supporting the high bandwidth needed for InfiniBand and other high-performance interconnects. The OM5 fibre type is optimized for multimode wavelength-division multiplexing and offers improved modal bandwidth over conventional multimode fibres, enabling better performance for applications that benefit from multiple wavelengths. The LC connector design delivers a compact footprint and secure connection suitable for dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand interconnects
• Data centre switch-to-switch and switch-to-server links
• Storage area networks (SAN) and fibre-channel bridging
• Short- to medium-range optical links in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Length: 3 metres
• Connector type: 2x LC (duplex)
• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Configuration: full duplex duplex optical cable
• Jacket colour: green for easy identification

How to use

Verify compatibility of the LC connectors with the transceivers or ports on your network equipment before installation. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to prevent increased attenuation. Insert LC connectors into the appropriate ports until they latch; ensure dust caps are removed and connector endfaces are clean to preserve signal quality. Use standard fibre management panels or cable guides to secure and label the cable within racks and patch panels.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector boots and avoid touching the optical endfaces. Clean connectors with suitable fibre cleaning tools prior to mating, and store unused cables with protective caps. For optimal performance in wavelength-division applications, use compatible transceivers and follow vendor guidelines for supported distances and data rates.
