Cabo de fibra ótica ShiverPeaks S/CONN 2m LC/SC

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 2m LC/SC fibre optic cable is a 2-metre multimode patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in local area networks and data centre environments. Constructed with OM2 multimode fibre and a 50 µm core diameter, the cable supports full-duplex links and is intended for connecting equipment with LC and SC terminations. The cable provides a standardised connection solution where a compact LC plug must interface with a larger SC socket, offering predictable optical characteristics for short- to medium-range links.

Advantages

This OM2 fibre cable offers low insertion loss and consistent multimode performance across a 50 µm core, enabling stable throughput for typical enterprise networking distances. The combination of LC and SC connectors allows compatibility with a wide range of switches, transceivers and patch panels. Its 2 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity, reducing excess slack while providing enough reach for common rack and desktop layouts.

Suitable for

• Short- to medium-range multimode network links within buildings and data centres
• Connecting LC-equipped transceivers or devices to SC ports on patch panels or legacy equipment
• Patch cabling between network switches, media converters and optical distribution frames

Key specifications

• Length: 2 metres
• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (single or duplex as applicable)
• Connector B: SC
• Transmission: Full duplex multimode optical

How to use

Install the cable by aligning the LC connector with the LC receptacle on the source device and the SC connector with the SC receptacle on the destination device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid contamination that can increase insertion loss. Gently insert each connector until a positive click or mechanical engagement is felt, avoiding excessive bending of the fibre; respect minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre. For removal, depress any latch on the LC or SC connector and withdraw straight out without twisting.

Recommendations

Keep dust caps on connectors when not in use and inspect connectors with appropriate cleaning tools and inspection scope. Use this OM2 50 µm cable for links within its supported distance range; for longer distances or single-mode transceivers, select a suitable single-mode fibre cable instead.
