Cabo de ligação direta SFP-DAC100-3m, Lancom Systems – 3 m, SFP para SFP, Duplex integral

Lancom Systems SFP-DAC100-3m is a 3-meter direct attach cable with SFP connectors on both ends, designed to provide a compact, low-latency link for short-range high-speed interconnects. Intended for use in data center racks and equipment rooms, this passive SFP-to-SFP cable supports full-duplex operation and is suitable for connecting switches, routers and servers where a reliable, short-distance fiber alternative is required.

Advantages

This direct attach cable offers a cost-effective and space-saving alternative to separate SFP transceivers and fiber patch cords, reducing installation time and simplifying inventory management. Tested for compatibility with LANCOM products, the cable provides a stable high-speed connection with low latency and supports hot-swapping during system operation. Its passive design lowers power consumption compared with active optical modules and ensures predictable performance for short-range links.

Suitable for

• Short-range uplinks between switches in the same rack or adjacent racks
• Direct connections between routers and core switches
• Server-to-switch links in dense rack deployments
• Temporary or permanent interconnects in data center top-of-rack environments

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Connector type: SFP to SFP (male)
• Link mode: Full duplex
• Maximum link speed: up to 100 Gbps
• Operating temperature range: 0–70 °C
• Color and material: black outer jacket with steel-reinforced connectors
• Hot-swappable: supported during system operation

How to use

Install the SFP-DAC100-3m by inserting each SFP connector into the corresponding SFP ports on the devices to be linked until the latch engages. Verify that both devices recognize the link and that full-duplex operation is negotiated if required by the equipment. The passive cable does not require separate power or configuration. For hot-swap replacement, remove and insert the cable while the system is running, following the device manufacturer’s guidelines for safe hot-swapping to avoid transient link interruptions.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short-distance, high-throughput connections within racks or between adjacent racks. Ensure SFP port compatibility and verify supported link speeds on connected devices before deployment. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors and maintain operating temperature within the specified range for reliable performance.
