Cabo de rede DeLOCK adaptador de proteção de dispositivo RJ45 Cat.6A S/FTP 20 cm preto vermelho

The DeLOCK RJ45 Device Protection Adapter Cat.6A S/FTP is a short 0.2 m inline adapter designed to protect network devices and their ports from accidental mechanical damage. When excessive tensile force is applied to the connected network cable, the adapter's break-away mechanism triggers an automatic disconnection, preventing stress on sensitive equipment. The adapter uses Cat.6A S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends and is available in black with red accents.

Advantages

The break-away design prevents damage to device ports by separating under tensile load, avoiding costly repairs or downtime. Cat.6A S/FTP construction reduces electromagnetic interference and supports high-speed network performance. Short 20 cm length minimises cable slack while maintaining a convenient protection point. Standard RJ-45 connectors provide broad compatibility with Ethernet devices.

Suitable for

• Protecting switches, routers and servers in offices and data cabinets
• Temporary network setups where cables may be pulled or tripped over
• Home office and multimedia setups with limited cable management space
• Environments where quick accidental disconnection is preferable to port damage

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat.6A S/FTP
• Length: 0.2 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colours: Black with red accents
• Brand: DELOCK, MPN: 88197, EAN: 4043619881970

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector of the adapter into the device port and connect the network cable to the other RJ-45 end. Ensure connectors are fully seated under normal conditions. The adapter remains transparent in operation and will separate automatically if the cable is pulled with excessive force, allowing safe reconnection after removal of the tension.

Recommendations

Use the adapter at the most exposed point of the cable run where strain or trips are likely. After a break-away event, inspect the adapter and cable ends for damage before reconnecting. This adapter is intended to protect ports from mechanical stress and does not replace proper cable management or surge protection.
