Microconnect SFTP702B RJ-45 Cat7 2 m Blue is a 2 m networking cable designed for high-speed wired connections between network devices such as switches, modems, routers or wall outlets. Built to the Cat7 standard and tested up to 600 MHz, the cable uses S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors for reliable data transmission and compatibility with Cat6a, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 systems.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk, helping to maintain signal quality and reduce transmission errors. Although the cable is manufactured with Cat6a-compatible RJ-45 connectors, it supports Cat7 performance up to 600 MHz and remains backwards compatible with earlier categories. How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device (switch, router or modem) and the other into the target device or wall outlet/patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable without sharp bends or excessive tension; use cable management accessories where appropriate. For installations through conduits or in confined spaces, guide the cable carefully to avoid damaging the connector boot.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines. Use the 2 m length for short interconnects within racks, desks or wall outlets. If longer runs are needed, choose an appropriately longer Cat7 or higher-grade cable to maintain signal integrity.
