Cabo InfiniBand/fibra ótica BlueOptics 980-9I13A-00C015-BO QSFP28 AOC 15 m azul

The BlueOptics 980-9I13A-00C015-BO QSFP28 AOC is a 15 m active optical cable designed for InfiniBand and fibre-optic connections in data centres and high-performance computing environments. It features QSFP28 connectors on both ends and a blue jacket with stainless-steel elements for added durability. The cable supports high-speed data transfer while offering a flexible, low-latency link between compatible switches, servers and storage systems.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers high bandwidth and low latency suited to demanding network fabrics. The QSFP28 connectors provide a compact, hot-pluggable interface compatible with modern 100 Gigabit InfiniBand and Ethernet ports. The 15 m length allows for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections without intermediate transceivers, and the stainless-steel reinforcement increases mechanical robustness and resistance to wear. The blue jacket aids identification and cable management in crowded installations.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack interconnects in data centres
• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand fabrics
• Direct connections between switches, servers and storage arrays
• Environments requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth links

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connectors: QSFP28 to QSFP28
• Colour: Blue with stainless-steel elements
• Weight: 0.15 kg

How to use

Install the cable by aligning the QSFP28 connector keyed latch with the port and inserting until the connector seats and, if present, the latch engages. Use the same procedure on the opposite end. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for optical assemblies. Do not overstress the connectors; support the cable near equipment to prevent strain. The AOC is plug-and-play and requires no separate transceivers or electrical power beyond the connected ports.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight bundling and sharp bends, keep the cable away from high-heat sources, and label both ends for easy identification. Verify compatibility with QSFP28 ports and check firmware or switch documentation for any port-specific settings before deployment.
