Cabo InfiniBand/fibra ótica BlueOptics CAB-Q-4S-100G-3M 3m QSFP28 4xSFP28 macho/macho

The BlueOptics CAB-Q-4S-100G-3M is a 3‑metre InfiniBand/fibre optic cable engineered for high-speed connectivity between QSFP28 and SFP28 ports. One end terminates in a QSFP28 male connector while the opposite end splits into four SFP28 male connectors, enabling aggregation or breakout configurations without additional adapters. The cable supports environments where low latency and high throughput are required, such as server interconnects, storage networks and high-performance computing clusters.

Advantages

This cable provides a compact breakout solution that reduces cabling complexity and rack space compared with multiple separate links. It is designed for consistent signal integrity across the full 3 m length and supports the electrical and optical characteristics required for 100 G connections aggregated to four 25 G lanes. The integrated design simplifies installation and reduces the number of individual connections to manage.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the QSFP28 connector into the 100 G port and the four SFP28 connectors into the corresponding 25 G ports on target devices. Ensure devices are powered down or that hot-swap procedures are followed according to hardware vendor guidance when making live changes. Verify link status and negotiate speeds on each endpoint after connection; firmware or driver settings on switches and servers may require configuration to recognize breakout mode.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use proper airflow management in racks and secure connectors to prevent strain. Confirm compatibility with host and switch breakout capabilities before deployment and keep firmware up to date for reliable link negotiation.
