Cabo InfiniBand/fibra ótica BlueOptics GB17M4Y-BO QSFP AOC 10 m azul-água

The BlueOptics GB17M4Y-BO QSFP AOC 10 m Aqua is an active optical cable designed for high-speed InfiniBand and fibre optic interconnects. With QSFP connectors on both ends and a 10-metre active optical link, this AOC supports 40GBASE-SR4 transmission characteristics and is intended for low-latency, high-throughput environments such as data centres and high-performance computing clusters. The Aqua-coloured jacket provides cable identification while durable construction and MSA-compliant QSFP interfaces ensure interoperability with common networking and storage platforms.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers consistent 40 Gbit/s class throughput across a 10 m span while maintaining low latency and signal integrity compared with equivalent copper solutions. The QSFP-to-QSFP form factor follows MSA standards for broad compatibility and straightforward hot-plug operation. The Aqua jacket simplifies cable management and visual identification in dense rack environments, and the AOC design reduces electromagnetic interference and power consumption compared with some electrical alternatives.

How to use

Ensure both endpoints support QSFP AOC connections and the 40GBASE-SR4 transmission profile before installation. With systems powered off or in hot-plug-capable mode, insert the QSFP connector into the QSFP port until the latch engages, then verify link status via the host or switch management interface. The AOC does not require separate transceivers or additional fibre patching; routing should avoid sharp bends and kinks to preserve optical performance. If the connected equipment supports SFP diagnostics, monitor link quality and temperature through the device management tools.

Recommendations

Route the 10 m AOC to minimise mechanical stress and avoid tight bend radii. Use the Aqua colour for quick visual identification in multi-cable environments, and match the cable length to rack layout to prevent excess slack. Confirm compatibility with your hardware vendor’s QSFP AOC support list for optimal interoperability and enable any recommended firmware or port configuration for 40G operation.
