Cabo InfiniBand/fibra ótica BlueOptics TAPCABLE3M-BL 3 m SFP+ macho/macho

The BlueOptics TAPCABLE3M-BL is a 3 m InfiniBand/fibre optic cable with SFP+ male-to-male connectors designed for short-range high-speed links in racks and between adjacent racks. It provides a direct-attach solution for 10 Gbps applications including Ethernet, FCoE, Fibre Channel and InfiniBand where SFP+ interfaces are used. The cable is compatible with hardware platforms that support SFP+ direct-attach connections and is intended for reliable data transmission in data center and server environments.

Advantages

This 3 m SFP+ cable offers a passive direct-attach connection with low latency, low power consumption and straightforward installation. Constructed to comply with industry MSA guidelines and using quality components, it is suitable for dense rack installations and short interconnects. The male-to-male SFP+ termination simplifies linking switches, NICs and storage ports without the need for additional transceivers.

How to use

Disconnect or power down equipment according to the vendor’s safety procedures if required. Insert each SFP+ plug firmly into the SFP+ ports of the two devices to be connected until the latch engages. Verify link status on both devices and configure network interfaces as needed for the intended protocol (Ethernet, FCoE, Fibre Channel or InfiniBand). For passive DAC use ensure the connected hardware explicitly supports passive SFP+ direct-attach cables.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-range links up to 3 m in organized rack environments; avoid sharp bends and excessive mechanical strain. Confirm hardware compatibility with passive SFP+ DACs and follow vendor guidance for hot-plugging and handling electrostatic-sensitive components.
