Cabo INTER-TECH SFF-8654 para SFF-8643 70 cm, ligação SAS interna (MPN 88885663)

Internal INTER-TECH cable with SFF-8654 to SFF-8643 connectors, 70 cm length, designed for secure internal SAS connections between host adapters and backplanes or drive enclosures in server and storage systems. The cable supports point-to-point high-speed serial attached SCSI links and is intended for organized cable routing and reliable data transfer inside rackmount and tower chassis.

Advantages

The cable combines a compact form factor with standardized SFF-8654 and SFF-8643 terminations to ensure compatibility with modern SAS controllers and backplane ports. Its 70 cm length offers a balance between reach and cable management inside chassis, reducing clutter and improving airflow. The internal design focuses on signal integrity for high-speed data transmission and on mechanical robustness for repeated insertion cycles.

Suitable for

• Connecting SAS host adapters to backplanes in servers
• Linking drive enclosures to RAID controllers
• Internal cable routing in storage arrays and chassis
• Replacing or upgrading internal SAS cables in data centers

Key specifications

• Connector A: SFF-8654 internal SAS connector
• Connector B: SFF-8643 internal SAS connector
• Length: 70 cm
• Application: Internal SAS point-to-point connections
• Cable orientation: Fixed, internal chassis use
• Suitable environments: Server and storage chassis, data center racks

How to use

Power off the system and follow ESD precautions before installing the cable. Identify the SFF-8654 port on the host adapter and the SFF-8643 port on the backplane or drive enclosure. Align the connectors and insert them gently until they seat; avoid excessive force. Route the cable to minimize bends and avoid obstructing airflow or moving parts. Secure the cable if necessary with existing chassis clips or ties, then power on the system and verify that the host controller and drives are detected in the system BIOS or storage controller software.

Recommendations

Use this cable only for internal SAS connections within compatible server or storage equipment. Maintain gentle bend radii, avoid pinching, and inspect connectors for debris before installation. For optimal signal performance, keep cable length appropriate for the topology and avoid mixing with damaged or non-specification cables.
