Cabo ótico ativo SFP+ BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC-20M 10GBASE-SR, 20 m

The BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC-20M is an active optical cable (AOC) that delivers a 20‑metre optical link for 10GBASE‑SR applications. This integrated assembly combines SFP+ transceivers and optical fibre in a single, factory‑terminated cable designed for direct 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between compatible SFP+ ports. The cable is intended for use in data centres, server racks and other high‑density networking environments where reliable short‑reach 10 Gbps links are required.

Advantages

The integrated design eliminates separate transceiver modules and patch cords, reducing connector count and simplifying installation. As an AOC, it typically offers lower power consumption compared with discrete SFP+ transceivers plus separate fibre patching, while maintaining signal integrity over the specified 20 m reach. The single‑assembly construction helps minimise cable management complexity and supports hot‑pluggable SFP+ ports for flexible deployment and quick replacement.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on the network devices until the module latches. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot‑swap procedures recommended by the equipment vendor if inserting while powered. Confirm link status on both ends and verify speed and duplex settings through the device management interface. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension or tight cable bundles that could affect optical performance.

Recommendations

Use this 20 m AOC for short‑reach 10GBASE‑SR links in controlled environments such as data centres and server rooms. Maintain minimum bend radii specified by the manufacturer and avoid exposure to direct sunlight or sources of mechanical stress. Verify compatibility with vendor switch/router platforms if strict OEM interoperability is required.
