Cabo passivo CBO BlueOptics 470-13557-BL 3 m SFF-8644 para SFF-8644

CBO BlueOptics 470-13557-BL 3m SFF-8644 to SFF-8644 passive cable is a 3-metre direct-attach cable with SFF-8644 male connectors on both ends, intended for short-reach interconnects in racks and server environments. It supports high-speed links for storage, server and switch connections where a compact, low-latency copper assembly is required. The passive construction provides a straightforward, low-power link option for compatible SAS/PCIe and InfiniBand equipment without active signal conditioning.

Advantages

The cable delivers a reliable physical connection with standardized SFF-8644 interfaces at each end, offering plug-and-play compatibility with equipment that accepts these connectors. At 3 metres length it balances reach and signal integrity for in-rack connections, while passive design avoids additional power draw and heat generation. The vendor-branded BlueOptics assembly ensures consistent build quality and traceability for environments that require branded components.

Suitable for

• Short-reach rack-to-rack or server-to-switch connections within the same rack
• High-speed storage arrays and SAS backplane links
• PCIe or InfiniBand connections where SFF-8644 is supported
• Data center top-of-rack and middle-of-row interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFF-8644 male to SFF-8644 male
• Cable type: Passive direct-attach copper assembly
• Length: 3 metres
• Compatibility: Designed for SAS, PCIe and InfiniBand systems that accept SFF-8644 connectors
• Use case: Short-reach, in-rack interconnects

How to use

Install by firmly inserting each SFF-8644 connector into the corresponding port until the retention latch engages. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain, maintaining the recommended bend radius to preserve signal integrity. For best results, connect powered-down equipment when possible and verify link status through the host or switch management interface after connection. Inspect connectors for debris and ensure secure seating before system operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the cable within rack environments and distances up to the specified 3 metres, avoid tight cable bundles that may introduce crosstalk, and keep connectors clean. Choose this passive direct-attach cable when a low-latency, vendor-branded physical link is required for compatible SFF-8644 ports.
