Cabo SAS HPE 876805-B21 4 m

The HPE 876805-B21 4 m SAS cable is a Mini SAS to Mini SAS high-speed interconnect designed for enterprise storage and server environments. With a 4-meter length and shielded construction, the cable supports reliable Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) data transmission between controllers, host bus adapters and storage enclosures. The flexible jacket and reinforced connectors provide routing options in rack-mounted systems while maintaining signal integrity for demanding I/O workloads.

Advantages

The cable offers a balance of length and signal protection suited to medium-distance internal or short external rack connections. Mini SAS connectors on both ends deliver multi-lane SAS connectivity that supports high throughput and low latency. Durable cable insulation and strain-relief on the connector housings reduce the risk of damage from repeated handling and cable movement during maintenance or reconfiguration.

Suitable for

• Connecting SAS host bus adapters to storage enclosures in server racks
• Linking disk arrays or RAID controllers to backplanes
• Extending internal server storage connections when 4 m routing is required
• Use in data centers where reliable, shielded SAS links are needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: Mini SAS on both ends (SFF-8470 / compatible form-factor)
• Length: 4 meters
• Cable construction: Shielded, multi-pair high-speed data cable
• Signal type: Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) multi-lane support
• Operating environment: Designed for enterprise/server rack use
• Durability features: Reinforced connector strain relief and flexible jacket

How to use

Before installing, power down equipment or follow hot-swap procedures supported by your hardware. Align the Mini SAS connector keyed features and insert each end firmly into the respective controller or storage port until the connector seats. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent undue stress on the connectors. After connection, verify link status through the server or storage controller interface and monitor for any error reports.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and electromagnetic interference sources; maintain recommended minimum bend radius and use cable-management in racks. When working in live systems, follow your equipment vendor’s service procedures and verify compatibility with host adapters and storage enclosures prior to deployment.
