CBO AOC BlueOptics BO353503J20M 10G 20m cabo ótico ativo (SFP+)

The CBO AOC BlueOptics BO353503J20M 10G 20m active optical cable (SFP+) is a factory-terminated fiber-based direct-attach solution for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. With a fixed 20 meter length and SFP+ connectors, this active optical cable eliminates the need for separate transceivers and offers a single-cable solution for short to mid-range data center interconnects. It is designed to deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity between servers, switches and storage devices while maintaining signal integrity over a 20 m span.

Advantages

The cable combines the compact form factor of SFP+ interfaces with optical transmission to reduce electromagnetic interference and power consumption compared with equivalent copper DACs over similar distances. Being pre-terminated and factory-tested, it minimizes installation time and the risk of connector errors. The 20 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack and intra-row connections while preserving 10 Gbit/s throughput and low latency characteristics required in data center environments.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections within the same data hall
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch 10 Gigabit links
• Storage network interconnects and SAN uplinks
• Short-distance fiber backbones in campus and enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ optical connector form factor
• Nominal data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Type: Active Optical Cable (AOC), pre-terminated
• Length: 20 meters fixed
• Transmission medium: multimode optical link with integrated transceivers in cable ends
• Typical application: short to mid-range data center interconnects

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network equipment until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are compatible with SFP+ optics slots and that devices are powered according to manufacturer guidelines. No additional transceivers or fiber termination are required. After insertion, verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and monitor the connection for expected 10 Gbit/s operation.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector bodies and avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use this AOC for links up to 20 m in controlled data center or equipment room environments where temperature and mechanical stress remain within specified operating ranges. Confirm compatibility with switch and server firmware to ensure proper link negotiation and diagnostics.
