PLANET FGSD-1022VHP is an unmanaged L2 switch offering eight 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports and two Gigabit TP/SFP combo interfaces. Designed for compact desktop or rack-mounted deployments, it delivers a total PoE budget of 120 watts, non-blocking switching performance and an integrated LCD for real-time PoE/status monitoring and troubleshooting without a PC or additional software.

Advantages

How to use

Install the FGSD-1022VHP on a flat surface or in a 1U rack space and connect powered devices to the RJ45 PoE ports. Use the two Gigabit TP/SFP combo ports for uplinking the switch to an NVR, server or backbone via copper or SFP fiber transceivers. The front-panel LCD allows immediate inspection of port status and PoE allocations; choose the desired operation mode (Standard, VLAN or Extend) via the panel to match your network requirements. Ensure cables meet Category 5/5e/6 specifications for Gigabit connections and allow the switch to complete its boot sequence before connecting critical devices.

Recommendations

To maximize reliability, distribute powered devices so the total PoE consumption does not exceed the 120 W budget, enable VLAN mode to isolate camera traffic where necessary, and use the Extend mode only when low-speed long-distance PoE (up to 250 m at 10 Mbps) is required. For long uplinks, select appropriate 1000BASE-SX/LX or single-mode SFP modules according to distance.
