Conector de fibra ótica SC/SC fêmea/fêmea Bulkhead ShiverPeaks BS08-10211

The ShiverPeaks BS08-10211 SC/SC Female/Female fibre optic connector is designed for bulkhead mounting to provide secure optical termination between two SC-format patch cables or adaptors. Constructed for repeated mating cycles, the connector supports standard single-mode or multimode SC interfaces and is suitable for structured cabling in telecom and data transmission environments. Its bulkhead orientation allows neat panel installation and straightforward cable management in racks and enclosures.

Advantages

This SC/SC female-to-female bulkhead connector offers stable optical alignment with SC ferrule compatibility and a form factor that fits standard rack plates and distribution panels. The design reduces insertion loss by maintaining accurate ferrule contact and enables quick replacement or reconfiguration of patching segments without disturbing adjacent ports. Built for practical field and cabinet use, it provides mechanical durability and consistent performance across repeated connections.

Suitable for

• Bulkhead connections in server racks and patch panels
• Telecommunications equipment and network distribution frames
• Fiber patching between SC-terminated cables
• Data centres and local area network (LAN) installations

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female to SC female (bulkhead)
• Interface: Standard SC ferrule format
• Mounting style: Bulkhead/panel mount
• Durability: Designed for multiple mating cycles
• Compatibility: Works with SC-terminated single-mode or multimode fibre cables
• Use environment: Indoor racks, enclosures and distribution frames

How to use

Install the connector into a compatible panel cutout or rack plate, securing it according to the panel’s mounting method. Insert SC-terminated patch cables into each SC female end until a tactile click indicates proper engagement. Verify optical continuity and acceptable insertion loss with appropriate test equipment after installation. For removal, depress the SC latch and carefully withdraw the cable to avoid damaging ferrules.

Recommendations

Handle ferrule endfaces with clean hands or lint-free tools; always use dust caps when ports are idle. Perform visual inspection and, if required, cleaning of endfaces before connection to minimise insertion loss and maintain signal quality.
