Conector de fibra ótica SC/SC fêmea/fêmea ShiverPeaks BS08-10214

The ShiverPeaks BS08-10214 SC/SC Female/Female fibre optic connector is a bulkhead-style adapter designed to provide secure, low-loss connections between SC-terminated fibre cables. Built for installation in panels or enclosures, this adapter aligns mating ferrules to maintain optical performance and mechanical stability in telecom and data distribution systems.

Advantages

This SC/SC female-to-female adapter offers precise ferrule alignment and consistent insertion loss suitable for standard multimode and singlemode SC connectors. Its bulkhead form factor allows easy mounting in patch panels or enclosure panels, simplifying cable management and reducing connector strain. The housing provides physical protection for the connection and helps preserve signal integrity through reliable mating and retention.

Suitable for

• Connecting two SC-terminated fibre optic cables through a panel or bulkhead
• Patch panels and distribution frames in telecom rooms and data centers
• Network closets, wall-mounted enclosures, and equipment racks
• Repairs or upgrades where SC connector continuity is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female to SC female (adapter)
• Mounting style: bulkhead / panel adapter
• Compatibility: standard SC ferrules for singlemode and multimode fibres
• Typical insertion loss: low, suitable for fibre optic networking applications
• Durability: designed for multiple mating cycles and stable mechanical retention
• Material: protective housing appropriate for panel-mounted connections

How to use

Install the adapter into the panel cutout or enclosure mounting point and secure it according to the panel's fastening method. Insert SC-terminated fibre plugs into each side of the adapter until a positive click or retention is felt, ensuring proper alignment and full engagement. Verify optical continuity and signal loss with appropriate testing equipment after mating. When disconnecting, depress the connector latch and withdraw straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule ends.

Recommendations

Keep connector end faces clean and protected with dust caps when not in use. Use fibre cleaners or lint-free swabs and approved cleaning fluid to remove dust or contaminants before mating. Perform insertion loss and return loss checks after installation and follow standard handling procedures to avoid excessive bending or strain on the fibre cables.
