Key specifications

How to use

Select the appropriate metric tap size for the threaded hole to be cut or repaired. Secure the workpiece and ensure the hole is drilled or prepared to the correct pilot diameter. Mount the tap in a suitable tap wrench or holder, apply cutting lubricant suitable for the material, and start cutting threads with steady, axial pressure. Use regular backing-off turns to clear chips and prevent tap binding. After cutting, clean the threads and inspect them for correct form and fit with mating fasteners.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment and cutting fluid for the material being worked. Match the pilot drill diameter and tap size according to metric thread tables, and avoid excessive torque to reduce the risk of tap breakage. Store taps in the provided case to protect cutting edges and maintain tool organization.
